Algonquin Adventure Tours, a premier outdoor adventure company, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as an Algonquin Park Tour Guide Specialist. This role involves leading guided tours through the breathtaking wilderness of Algonquin Park, providing guests with unforgettable experiences and insights into the park's rich natural and cultural history.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided tours of Algonquin Park for groups of various sizes, ensuring an engaging and informative experience for guests.
- Lead hikes, canoe trips, wildlife viewing excursions, and other outdoor activities while prioritizing guest safety and enjoyment.
- Share in-depth knowledge of Algonquin Park's ecology, wildlife, geography, and Indigenous history, enhancing the educational aspect of the tours.
- Interpret and communicate the significance of Algonquin Park's conservation efforts, environmental stewardship, and sustainable practices to guests.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, accommodating special requests, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Maintain and care for tour equipment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with fellow guides and company staff to develop new tour itineraries, improve existing programs, and uphold company standards of excellence.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including first aid and wilderness safety procedures, to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
