Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Butcher to join our team in providing high-quality meat products and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cut meats according to specified standards, ensuring precision and quality.
- Handle food products safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Package meat products efficiently for retail display or customer orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, tools, and equipment.
- Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable customer service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination or spoilage.
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards during food preparation and handling.
- Must be available during the week, weeknights, and weekends.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting, is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
- Ability to operate knives and other butchery tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent knife skills for precise cuts.
- Good customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Kitchen experience or background in food preparation is advantageous.
- Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility around scheduling needs.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
