Schedule: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per Week
Janitorial / Condominium Building Cleaner
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial / Building Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation of one of our condominium properties. This position plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, contractors, and visitors.
The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, possess strong time-management skills, and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. A positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards are essential for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cleaning roles and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, fitness rooms, party rooms, laundry facilities, and other shared spaces.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
- Cleaning and sanitizing washrooms, fixtures, mirrors, counters, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Emptying garbage and recycling receptacles and ensuring proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Cleaning glass surfaces, doors, windows, and elevator interiors.
- Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of exterior entrances, walkways, and surrounding property areas.
- Reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, damages, or unusual activity to management.
- Assisting with seasonal cleaning tasks and special projects as required.
- Supporting move-ins, move-outs, and resident events by ensuring common areas are clean and presentable.
- Maintaining cleaning equipment and ensuring supplies are properly stored and inventoried.
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and using cleaning products in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Providing courteous and professional interactions with residents, guests, contractors, and fellow staff members.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or building cleaning experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and equipment operation is an asset.
