Is this program right for you?
There has never been a better time to join MD Financial Management as a Wealth Management Associate.
The Wealth Management Associate Program is a salaried development program aimed at developing sales and entrepreneurial-minded individuals into a Wealth Advisory role. The program offers a strong foundation in financial planning, relationship building, and client discovery- skills that are highly valued in Advisory careers. We welcome applicants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds who are eager to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives.
Do you have the skills that will help you succeed? – We’d love to work with you if:
You’re naturally curious, thoughtful, and collaborative, and you enjoy solving problems that matter to people.
You keep current on issues affecting the financial affairs of clients, including a general knowledge of income tax, investment trends and products, as well as any other issues impacting clients.
Note: You do not need to meet 100% of these criteria to be a strong candidate. We encourage all interested applicants—from all communities—to apply.
A comprehensive training and development experience that provides a thorough understanding of Scotiabank’s Wealth Advisory businesses and Total Wealth Planning approach. Your growth is our top priority, and you will be supported through formal web‑based and in‑person training, on‑the‑job learning, educational speaker events, professional development opportunities, and ongoing mentorship throughout the program.
Placement in a MD Financial Management office to work with wealth teams to gain relevant and practical experience, complementary training, and support to help prepare you to attain licensing requirements associated with transitioning into a Wealth Management Advisory role.
A compensation program with competitive salary, opportunities for annual performance incentives based on performance thresholds, a flexible benefits program, and continuing education programs.
How do I apply?
For candidates applying to our new graduate programs, we do not require resumes! We believe in evaluating you through relationships over resumes and are focused on learning about who you are and what you’re interested in to uncover your true potential. Instead, we ask that as part of your application you complete the below:
- Complete your PLUM Profile here and save as a screenshot.
- Complete a short one-way video interview here.
- Apply to the role and when the application asks for your resume, instead upload the screenshot of your PLUM Profile.
