The Opportunity:
At Canadian Natural, we are proud to be a leader in Canada’s energy industry. Join us and help drive innovation and long-term value through integrity, teamwork, and a passion for doing things right. Make your mark while you grow your career! We are seeking a well-rounded Pipeline Geohazard Specialist to join our Asset Integrity Team in a technical role supporting field operations.
In this role, you will be a key player supporting Canadian Natural’s Pipeline Geohazard Management Program throughout western Canada. Leveraging significant geohazard field experience and operational knowledge, you will conduct site assessments, evaluate geohazard conditions, coordinate inspection and mitigation activities, and work directly with Asset Integrity, Operations and Engineering teams to protect critical pipeline assets. Acting as a technical specialist, you will develop practical, risk-based solutions that ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of pipeline systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical geohazard expertise and management of critical infrastructure with hands-on field work, problem solving, and stakeholder collaboration in dynamic operating environments. Success in this role will require strong geohazard technical expertise and field judgment, a thorough understanding of pipeline operations, and the ability to translate field observations into actionable, risk-based integrity and mitigation strategies.

Conduct engineering assessments for emerging geotechnical and hydrotechnical threats, regulatory audits, routine pipeline evaluations, and integrity management initiatives
Manage flood and precipitation monitoring programs, providing timely technical support and response during flooding events and other geohazard-related incidents
Support pipeline route selection and new construction projects through geohazard assessments, geotechnical investigation programs and HDD design
