Dovetail is a vibrant, modern restaurant concept that opened in Vancouver’s Yaletown neighbourhood in November 2023. We are looking for experienced cooks that have part or full-time availability and can close.
Closing requires cooks to be on site until 1:00 AM, Sunday to Thursday and 2:00 AM, Friday & Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
Skills:
- Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented setting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with the kitchen team
