The Project Coordinator/Manager will support and actively contribute to CIHR-funded qualitative and theoretically informed research grounded in critical disability studies, posthuman theory, and relational methodologies. The incumbent will contribute to the conceptual development and operationalization of relational, critical qualitative research design and will conduct advanced qualitative data generation including in-depth interviews, focus groups, and ethnographic fieldwork in adherence with institutional REB and CIHR protocols. The Project Coordinator/Manager will lead and/or support concurrent data analysis informed by relational and posthuman theoretical framings and will engage in iterative analytic memos, theoretical integration, and conceptual synthesis across interdisciplinary literatures (e.g., disability studies, rehabilitation sciences, sociology of health, medicine, and illness). The role will oversee qualitative data management, including secure storage, de-identification, and organization in NVivo or comparable software, and will liaise with research collaborators, community partners, trainees, and advisory committees to support knowledge co-production.
Qualifications
Education:
- Undergraduate Degree; Project Management Professional certification
- Actively pursuing or completion of PhD in Disability studies, sociology of health or a relevant area of focus preferred
Experience:
- 2 years' work experience in a related field
- Demonstrated experience applying theoretically advanced analytic frameworks (e.g., posthumanism, assemblage-thinking, new materialisms etc) to empirical research
- Experience contributing to peer-reviewed publications and grant-funded research projects
- Experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary and community-engaged research teams.
