Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a strong knowledge of drink recipes, food safety standards, and effective time management skills. The Bartender will play a key role in ensuring guests have a memorable experience while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies
- Manage cash handling and POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
- Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol service regulations
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-serving
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy hours
- Handle food handling responsibilities when necessary, including serving food items
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly as a bartender or server
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal requirements
- Experience in the food industry with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and guests
