Brown & Cohen Communications & Public Affairs Inc, a dynamic public relations firm headquartered in Toronto, is seeking to fill an internship position.
Candidates must have a university degree, be in co-op public or government relations program.
The opportunity is for a four month remote/work from home internship starting in September. A monthly stipend is available.

As a public relations intern at Brown & Cohen, you will work closely with senior members of our team to meet the needs of our clients. We are looking for an engaged individual who shows initiative, creativity, and can work in a fast-paced team environment.
The internship position will require the following skills:

- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Prior experience with and knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal politics Duties will include: Writing communication pieces such as media advisories, client reports, newsletter content and social media content
- Daily social media responsibilities such as tweeting, monitoring and managing client's Facebook pages and contributing to social media plans
- Research for client initiatives and story ideas
- Media relations research, list management, and outreach Preparing media coverage for distribution to clients
- Media monitoring
- Event management
You will be expected to work first hand with our clients engaging in the creative process from start to finish. Although the opportunity is a remote/work from home position, candidates must be available to participate at least bi-weekly remotely.
