Responsibilities
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare different cuts of meat according to specifications and customer requests
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package meat products neatly and accurately for retail display or customer orders
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations, tools, and equipment throughout your shift
- Assist customers with their selections by providing knowledgeable advice on cuts and cooking methods
- Follow all food industry standards for hygiene, safety, and quality assurance during food preparation
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or quality concerns
Skills
- Proven experience or strong interest in the food industry, particularly in butchery or food preparation
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques, food handling procedures, and safety regulations
- Ability to operate knives, saws, grinders, and other butchery tools safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Attention to detail in packaging, labeling, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Basic kitchen experience that supports efficient workflow in a food handling environment
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
Pay: $17.80-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
