Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our team at Como Lake Dental to cover shifts for Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday. The successful candidate will provide exceptional dental care, focusing on patient comfort and satisfaction. The role involves working closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure the highest standards of oral health for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct oral health assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral cancer screenings.
- Clean and polish teeth, including removing calculus, stains, and plaque from teeth.
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to prevent cavities.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
- Take and develop dental x-rays.
- Document patient care and treatment plans in patient records.
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and exams as needed.
- Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in dental hygiene through continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Current registration and licensure with the College of Dental Hygienists of British Columbia (CDHBC).
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in performing duties.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a dental office.

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
