About Us
Northwest 21 Ltd. is a progressive irrigated farm located near Enchant, Alberta. We are looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our team as a General Farm Worker. This is a year-round position offering a variety of work in both the shop and the yard.
Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will assist with a wide range of farm operations, including:
- Operating tractors, forklifts, trucks, trailers, combines, and other farm equipment
- Assisting with loading and unloading trucks
- Operating and maintaining conveyors, pilers, and vegetable grading equipment
- Performing general shop and yard duties
- Performing basic maintenance and repairs on farm equipment
- Operating and maintaining irrigation systems, including Valley, Zimmatic, Reinke, and Lockwood pivots
- Assisting with seasonal farming activities as required
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (required)
- Class 3 Driver's Licence is considered an asset
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment repairs
- Basic welding skills are considered an asset
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to stand, walk, lift, and work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions
- Legally entitled to work in Canada. Employer sponsorship is not available. ( No LMIA Available)
- Must live locally or be willing and able to commute to work each day with reliable transportation.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
