Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Hydrovac Operator to join our Hydro-Vac team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydro-vac trucks to safely excavate and expose underground utilities, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires experience with hydro-vac operation and a strong understanding of hydro-vac protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate hydrovac trucks to perform excavation tasks with precision and safety
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on all machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Safely navigate construction sites while adhering to safety protocols and regulations
- Assist with site preparation, utility exposure, and other excavation-related duties
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and equipment used
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues promptly
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction site management
Experience
- Hold a valid Class 3 or Class 1 BC Driver's Licence
- Have experience in the Hydro-Vac industry
- Current Drivers Abstract
