Role Overview
As Nurse Practitioner — Extended Class, you hold the primary prescriptive authority within the clinic and provide clinical oversight for our IV lounge, nutraceutical programs, and wellness therapeutics. You operate autonomously within your CNO-registered scope, supported by a Medical Director for consultation on complex cases.
This is a ground-floor opportunity for an NP with an interest in integrative, preventative, or aesthetic medicine who wants flexible part-time hours in a modern, tech-enabled clinic environment. You will not carry administrative burden — our client coordinator team handles scheduling, intake processing, billing submission, and front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prescriptive Services & Clinical Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments: full health history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic results
- Prescribe medications and nutraceuticals within NP (Extended Class) scope of practice, tailored to individual client goals
- Order and interpret relevant diagnostics: blood panels, hormone profiles, nutrient testing, DNA results, and bioenergetic scans
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans for: weight management, hormonal optimization, metabolic health, chronic disease prevention, and post-operative recovery
- Prescribe and oversee GLP-1 medications and weight management therapeutics where clinically appropriate and compliant
- Adjust prescriptions based on client outcomes, lab results, and follow-up assessments
- Provide client education on medications, supplements, lifestyle modifications, and preventative protocols
IV Lounge Clinical Oversight
- Authorize IV therapy protocols and standing orders for the clinic’s RN; ensure all formulations are clinically appropriate for each client
- Perform or supervise administration of IV infusions: Myers Cocktail, NAD+, glutathione, vitamin C, hydration, chelation/detox, and post-operative recovery drips
- Conduct pre-infusion medical assessments for new IV clients; review contraindications and flag high-risk cases
- Manage and document adverse reactions; ensure emergency protocols are in place and understood by all clinical staff
- Collaborate with the RN and clinical team to develop, refine, and update IV therapy protocols as evidence evolves
Integrated Wellness & Longevity Programs
- Support clinical design of multi-modality wellness protocols combining prescriptive medicine with PEMF, IV therapy, detox, and nutritional coaching
- Provide clinical sign-off for client care plans developed in collaboration with the ND and other practitioners
- Participate in creating hormonal health, metabolic recovery, and anti-aging clinical pathways
- Liaise with Dr. Jassal (clinical partner) on complex chronic disease management cases where appropriate
Clinical Leadership & Governance
- Provide clinical mentorship and guidance to the RN and wellness support staff
- Participate in the development and periodic review of clinic policies, procedures, clinical protocols, and consent documentation
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation in Jane App EMR for every client interaction
- Maintain compliance with CNO professional practice standards, RHPA requirements, and Ontario prescribing guidelines
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in monthly multidisciplinary clinical review meetings
- Serve as the clinical point of escalation for any adverse events, contraindication flags, or complex clinical presentations
Scope Note: This role requires active registration as a Nurse Practitioner (Extended Class) with the College of Nurses of Ontario. The NP operates within their full autonomous NP scope — including independent assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, and ordering diagnostics — without requirement for physician co-signature. A Medical Director is available for consultation on complex or out-of-scope cases. The NP is not expected to perform Botox, fillers, or cosmetic laser procedures — those services are delivered by the RN Injector and medical aesthetician team.
