Shelby’s Legendary Shawarma is opening a new location in Barrie, and we are looking for a hands-on Restaurant Manager to help build the team and successfully launch the restaurant.
Pre-Opening Training
Paid brand and operational training will be held at a designated Shelby’s training location in Mississauga before the Barrie opening. The successful candidate must be available to travel to Mississauga during the training period.
Following training, the Manager will assist with team onboarding, restaurant setup, opening readiness and launch execution in Barrie.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily shifts and ensure Shelby’s operational and service standards are followed.
- Train, schedule, supervise and support team members.
- Oversee food preparation, shawarma cooking and cutting, portion control, order accuracy and product quality.
- Manage labour deployment, inventory, ordering, receiving, food cost and waste.
- Maintain food-safety records, temperature controls, cleanliness and inspection readiness.
- Handle POS operations, cash controls, deposits and delivery-platform orders.
- Resolve guest concerns and maintain a positive customer experience.
- Support sales growth, online ratings, local marketing and catering opportunities.
- Report operational results and concerns to the multi-unit management team.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of restaurant experience, including supervisory or management experience.
- QSR, fast-casual or shawarma restaurant experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced kitchen and service environment.
- Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reliably commute to the Barrie location.
