Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated ABA Therapist / Behaviour Therapist to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will work directly with children and youth using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will support clients in developing communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills while helping reduce behaviors that may interfere with learning and independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to children and youth.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill-building programs.
- Follow treatment plans developed and supervised by an RBA or clinical supervisor.
- Collect and accurately record data during therapy sessions.
- Support the development of communication, social, play, and daily living skills.
- Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, and families to support client progress.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required.
- Maintain professional and confidential client records.
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in psychology, behavioral science, autism and behavioral science, early childhood education, social services, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is an asset.
- Knowledge or experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Patient, reliable, compassionate, and enthusiastic about working with children.
- Ability to follow clinical programs and accept feedback from supervisors.
- First Aid/CPR certification and a Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
