Telecon is looking for an experienced Telecommunication or Utility Labourers to join our growing team. This role is based out of yard in Ottawa, Ontario (Carp Rd).

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :
- Install and dig around live utilities
- Maintain a safe and clean work site
- Digging/holes and trenches, pulling cable
- Doing drops and connections
- Operating tools and equipment and supporting the crew as needed
- General site preparation and clean-up as directed
- Other duties as required
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- 3- 5 year experience in working on civil construction sites (telecom or utilities preferred.
- must have a valid G license with clean abstract and ability to reliability commute to 2726 Carp Rd (no public transit access available)
- First Aid, Electrical Safety Awareness, Confined Space certifications are an asset
- Good understanding of MC and cable plans (drawings)
- Must have a good understanding of locates and construction plans
- Must be comfortable and competent with using Tablets, cell phones and emails
- Must be capable of completing strenuous manual labour tasks in all weather conditions
