Our client is looking to hire a Service Writer / Parts Administrator for a contract position:
Requirements & duties of Service Writer / Parts Administrator:
- Open, manage, and close work orders accurately and efficiently
- Communicate repair needs, timelines, and priorities with technicians
- Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) and repair schedules
- Ensure all work performed is properly documented and compliant
- Order, receive, and issue parts for shop repairs and PMs
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and usage tracking
- Work with vendors to source parts cost-effectively and on time
- Ensure parts are correctly allocated to work orders
- Act as the point of contact between the shop and operations team
- Support daily shop planning and unit readiness
- Assist with Owner Operator service and revenue opportunities
- Communicate delays, back orders, or issues proactively
- Ensure accurate billing and cost capture for repairs and parts
- Support warranty claims and vendor returns.
- Maintain organized service and parts records
- Assist with reporting as required
- Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of Service Writer (transportation Industry)
Compensation & Hours of Service Writer / Parts Administrator:
· Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
· $25-$28/hour
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Experience:
- Transportation Industry: 5 years (required)
- Service Writer: 5 years (required)
