This positions primary focus provides assessment, therapy and group therapy to clients receiving service within the Early Psychosis Intervention Program as well as support in the development and implementation of group therapy. Occasionally, this position may be required to support with providing family support. The Social Worker III will provide advanced clinical services, consultation and education to the interprofessional team and patients/families, and/or provides clinical leadership and coordination. The Social Worker III is an advanced level position that will work within teams to provide and inform services for patients with complex and multi-dimensional needs. The Social Worker functions as part of an ambulatory outpatient multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients in addiction and mental health programs. The Social Worker will communicate with families, physicians, community agencies and other related services and resources in identifying needs for the patient. The Social Worker role supports student learning opportunities and also includes supporting quality improvement for the program via processes and workflow development. It also requires collaboration to enact initiatives in order to ensure that practices are evidence based and in alignment with Social Worker standards of practice, code of ethics, policy, legislation and regulations. They will be expected to lead, facilitate and/or participate in programing, policy, and procedure development, service planning, staff development, quality improvement and evaluation, and/or research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s).
As a Social Worker III, you will perform either advanced level assessment and treatment or act as a clinical lead. You will work with or within teams to provide health care services for patients with complex and multidimensional medical, psychosocial, environmental and instrumental needs. You will provide advanced clinical services, consultation to the interprofessional team and patients/families and supervision of students and team members as assigned. You may also act as a clinical lead providing leadership in the planning, development, and delivery of services in a specific area, as well as staff development, quality improvement and evaluation or research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s).

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Adult Mental Health with 2 of these years being in a Mental Health Outpatient supporting clients with psychotic disorders. Experience must include practical experience in family interviewing and group therapy. Completion of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy manual and 3 years’ experience applying this modality. Must have experience working with dual diagnosis. Clinical skills necessary to provide individual and family therapy including assessment, treatment/therapy service.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of providing clinical supervision to students.
