Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our growing public accounting practice in a senior-level capacity. This role is designed for an individual who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and can confidently navigate a broad range of accounting, tax, advisory, and client service responsibilities.
This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of accounting and business challenges, and requires someone who can operate independently, contribute strategic thinking, and provide practical solutions. The successful candidate will function similarly to a Senior Manager within a larger public accounting firm, while enjoying the flexibility and agility of a smaller team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute a combination of accounting, tax, and advisory engagements
- Prepare and review financial statements and review engagement files
- Complete and oversee corporate and personal tax compliance work
- Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence engagements
- Participate in client meetings and support ongoing client communications
- Document meeting discussions and coordinate follow-up action items
- Review work completed by team members and provide constructive feedback
- Identify issues, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate closely with primary Partner and colleagues on a wide range of projects and client matters
- Contribute wherever needed to support business objectives and client success
Qualifications:
- CPA, or equivalent, designation is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting at a senior level
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge, as well as file review and analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment
- Effective problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset
- Comfortable sharing ideas, recommendations, and observations with leadership and team members
- Ability to manage diverse responsibilities rather than focusing on a single specialty area
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Professional, dependable, and able to integrate quickly into an established team environment
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using Caseware and TaxPrep
- Exposure to financial statement preparation and review engagements
- Experience with corporate and personal taxation
- Involvement in transaction advisory, due diligence, or M&A-related projects
- Experience in a firm environment similar to a Canadian public accounting practice

Pay: $85,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
