Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinetmaker to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and installing custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong woodworking skills, experience with various construction techniques, and the ability to interpret detailed schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that showcase craftsmanship and precision, contributing to high-quality finishes in client spaces.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of custom cabinets.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- Install cabinetry on-site with precision, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Perform related carpentry tasks such as framing, restoration work, or siding as needed for project completion.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assist in project planning and material procurement.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency during fabrication and installation processes.
- Assist with additional tasks such as flooring installation, tile laying, or plumbing if required for integrated projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or related construction fields.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- Experience with construction painting, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, caulking, electrical work, plumbing, or handyman services is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship quality.
- Good communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
- Prior experience in restoration or manufacturing environments is desirable.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for site visits or material transportation.
