Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Maintenance professional to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of our facilities. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility care.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of the inside and outside of plant, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct commercial cleaning tasks such as floor care, window washing, trash removal, and surface disinfecting
- Maintain the cleanliness of the building’s interior and exterior areas to uphold health and safety standards
- Perform basic facilities maintenance including light repairs, replacing fixtures, and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and maintenance tools are properly stored and maintained
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and identify when specialized repair services are required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
