Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Abeldent and Dentrix
- Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist
- Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support patients through compassionate communication and ensure their comfort throughout visits
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as Abeldent and Dentrix is highly advantageous
- Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology enhances effectiveness in this role
- Experience with CAD systems for imaging or modeling is a plus
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required or highly recommended
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor are essential for success in this role
Pay: $20.58-$35.00 per hour
