Crown Shred & Recycling Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Quality Control Line Operator to join our Material Recovery Facility team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring recyclable materials are properly sorted and meet quality standards before processing and shipment. The successful candidates will work on a sorting line, remove contaminants, identify recoverable commodities, and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient operation. The job opening is for Saturday work with the hours 6:30 am - 5:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect recyclable materials moving along conveyor systems.
- Remove contaminants and non-recyclable materials from sorting lines.
- Recover designated recyclable commodities as directed.
- Monitor material quality and report issues to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and surrounding work areas.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Assist with equipment cleaning and housekeeping activities during scheduled downtime.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must pass a criminal record check.
- Must be able to get to and from the work site.
- Comfortable working around large industrial machinery.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a recycling facility, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
