Job description
Rapol Inc is an expanding Welding Automation Company based in Woodstock Ontario. We are global supplier of premium Welding Positioners, Turning Rolls, Lathes, Turn Tables, and various machinery to automate manufacturing.
Tasks:
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. Cut material using automatic saws and prepare for fabrication)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded & post weld clean-up
- Align components and clamp pieces
- Weld components using mig welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as welder / fabricator
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, tape measure, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Quality workmanship, efficiency and ability to work independently
- Professional Certification (e.g. an CWB welding certificate) will be a plus
- All candidates must possess a valid G driver’s license
