Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, coordinating care plans, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients of all ages, including pediatrics and seniors. Experience with electronic health records such as Epic and Cerner is preferred to facilitate efficient documentation and patient management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress using electronic health record systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Assist with procedures such as phlebotomy and laboratory specimen collection when necessary.
- Manage case documentation for complex cases including pain management, dementia care, or chronic conditions such as diabetes or heart disease.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards across all settings.
- Support patients in various environments including hospital units, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, pediatric units, or home care visits.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and nursing best practices.
- Experience in acute care settings including hospitals or emergency departments is highly desirable.
- Background in specialized areas such as pediatrics, senior care, dementia care, or home health is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate approach with a focus on delivering patient-centered care across diverse populations.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures like phlebotomy is advantageous.
