Duties
- Provide professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet each dog's specific needs and breed standards
- Assess the health and condition of each dog before grooming, alerting pet owners to any concerns or issues
- Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are hygienic and well-maintained
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their preferences and provide grooming recommendations
- Handle dogs safely and compassionately, especially during heavy lifting or handling of larger breeds
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize client satisfaction and workflow flow
- Ensure all grooming procedures adhere to safety standards and company policies
Requirements
- Proven experience in dog grooming or related pet care roles, with a strong portfolio of grooming styles
- Excellent customer service skills to build trust and rapport with pet owners
- Ability to lift heavy dogs safely and comfortably, demonstrating physical strength and stamina
- Knowledge of different dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques
- Strong attention to detail to deliver high-quality results every time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Certification in pet grooming or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
