Overview
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position for a motivated mechanic who takes pride in keeping heavy machinery running at peak performance. Position Overview as a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, haul trucks, harvesting equipment You will work in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and efficiency are priorities.
JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:
- 2nd or 3rd Period Apprentice Mechanic (Red Seal preferred but not required)
- Must have own hand tools and tool chest- We do supply specialized tools
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required
- Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s License is a strong asset
- Experience with Caterpillar (Cat), Cummins, and Volvo equipment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of electronics and hydraulics is a significant asset
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
