Junior Project Manager
Pay Rate: Up to $52.65-$62.15/hour, depending on experience
Contract Length: 16 months

Raise is currently hiring a Junior Project Manager on behalf of our client. They're expanding their Project Management team to support regulated maintenance programs and capital projects across critical facilities infrastructure, making this an exciting opportunity for an experienced project management professional with strong stakeholder management and capital project delivery experience. Our client, is one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Junior Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering facilities regulated programs and General Plant Maintenance Capital (GPMC) projects that support the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of critical infrastructure assets. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Controls, contractors, and other business stakeholders, this role manages the full project lifecycle while ensuring regulatory compliance, schedule adherence, budget performance, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will bring strong project management expertise, technical leadership, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams while driving successful execution of maintenance and capital projects.
Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution

Manage General Plant Maintenance Capital (GPMC) projects for process safety critical equipment.

Plan, organize, and execute regulated maintenance programs and capital projects from initiation through closeout.

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

Work closely with Project Controls to establish baseline schedules and spending forecasts early in the project lifecycle.

Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as required.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management

Direct and manage external engineering consultants, contractors, and service providers.

Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Coordinate field resources and optimize work activities to support project implementation.

Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Manage project risks, issues, and change requests while maintaining stakeholder alignment.
Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

Analyze project and program data to improve asset integrity, execution performance, and resource utilization.

Support the development and implementation of project management tools, standards, and best practices.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting regulated programs and capital project delivery.
Qualifications
-
Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably supporting capital projects, maintenance programs, or industrial operations.

Experience managing maintenance or capital projects within energy, utilities, industrial, pipeline, or infrastructure environments.

Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.

Experience managing contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Skills
-
Experience supporting regulated facilities or infrastructure programs.

Knowledge of process safety management and maintenance programs.

Experience working with Project Controls, cost forecasting, and project scheduling.

Familiarity with project management tools and enterprise systems such as SAP or Primavera.

PMP certification or progress toward certification is considered an asset.

Experience identifying continuous improvement and cost optimization opportunities.
