Hiring General labour
Location: Cobourg, ON
Shift: 7 am to 7pm, 12 hours
Duties
- Load and unload materials using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Perform order picking and packing in warehouse distribution operations
- Operate heavy machinery safely, including forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Support construction-related tasks, including material handling and site organization
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory and process orders
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
- Follow safety protocols at all times during heavy equipment operation and manual handling
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Experience with order pickers, cranes, forklift operation, clamp trucks, or warehouse management systems is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment under supervision
- Prior experience working with warehouse management systems or logistics software is advantageous
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Basic understanding of construction or industrial environments is beneficial
