Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Helical Pile Technician Level 1 to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment operation and foundational construction techniques. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a dynamic construction environment. Prior experience with heavy machinery and construction tools is a plus but not required; training will be provided. This role is essential for supporting foundation installation projects.
- Assist with the installation of helical piles according to project specifications
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steer loaders
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary tools and materials
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
- Assist with site preparation, and grading as needed
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles for site transportation if qualified
- Knowledge of construction safety procedures and practices
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in heavy equipment operation and construction techniques
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 100 pounds when necessary
- Valid driver’s license required; relevant certifications in heavy machinery operation are a plus
- Class 3 license or experience towing trailers considered an asset
