Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, inspections, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Experience in dealership settings, welding, and reading schematics is highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to provide top-tier service to our clients.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues
- Assemble parts and components accurately according to specifications
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and answering questions professionally
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Experience with automotive repair software is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Prior experience with vehicle maintenance, assembly, or related tasks is advantageous
