Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining area. Prior experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality is preferred but not required. Duties
- Deliver prepared food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables promptly and accurately
- Assist servers with clearing dishes and resetting tables to maintain a clean dining environment
- Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before delivery
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order flow
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including wiping down trays and organizing supplies
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation or setup as needed
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order management when required
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing friendly and attentive service during meal delivery
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Basic understanding of food preparation, serving, and meal presentation techniques
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities if required for certain roles such as cashiering or barista experience
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if needed
- A positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role
