Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with automotive and industrial equipment, and excellent problem-solving skills. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery, including dealership vehicles, farm machinery, heavy equipment, and industrial systems. The technician will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, repairs, and troubleshooting using various hand tools, power tools, and schematics. A background in dealership experience, heavy equipment operation, welding, HVAC, electrical systems, and customer service is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs on automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Maintain and repair heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
- Operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently during maintenance or repair tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs
- Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery to prevent future issues
- Read technical manuals and schematics to accurately identify problems and solutions
- Assist in assembly or installation of new equipment or parts as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic; dealership experience is a plus
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or industrial machinery
- Knowledge of farm machinery, HVAC systems, electrical systems, welding techniques, and schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance procedures
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Experience working with automotive repair software or diagnostic tools is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $22.25-$46.26 per hour
