Director of Marketing & Communications

With years of success in the Canadian market, they pride themselves on producing and providing exceptional customer service and products to the industrial, commercial and residential contractor marketplace, while always putting their clients and employees first. They have retained Cameron Lappin from the Lock Search Group to partner in their search to find a strategic, results-driven Director of Marketing & Communications to lead the development and execution of a national marketing strategy that drives revenue growth, strengthens brand awareness, and enables sales success.
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), this leadership role is responsible for translating business objectives into measurable marketing initiatives that generate demand, increase customer engagement, and support long-term commercial growth. The successful candidate will oversee brand strategy, digital marketing, e-commerce, sales enablement, communications, and employer branding while partnering closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and IT to deliver integrated business results. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans that drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and market expansion.
- Lead integrated demand generation campaigns across digital, email, social media, web, events, and trade shows to generate qualified leads and maximize ROI.
- Partner with Sales and Procurement to identify target markets, support product launches, develop strategic campaigns, and deliver effective sales enablement tools.
- Leverage customer insights, market research, competitive intelligence, and performance analytics to optimize marketing strategies and business decisions.
- Oversee e-commerce performance by improving product visibility, customer experience, search optimization, and conversion rates.
- Manage marketing budgets, vendor partnerships, and co-op funding to maximize marketing investment and commercial results.
- Measure and report marketing performance using CRM, Google Analytics, and other reporting tools to evaluate pipeline, lead conversion, and revenue impact.
- Lead employer branding, recruitment marketing, and internal communications to strengthen organizational engagement and brand awareness.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to build a high-performing marketing team and support company-wide initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in B2B environments.
- Proven success developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and brand awareness.
- Experience leading digital marketing, demand generation, e-commerce, sales enablement, events, and brand management initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of CRM platforms, marketing automation, Google Analytics, performance reporting, and marketing ROI.
- Demonstrated experience managing marketing budgets, analyzing business performance, and making data-driven decisions.
- Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical, financial, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000 annually. The actual base salary for this position may depend on various factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and work location. Your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package, as this position will also be supported with a strong bonus incentive plan, extended benefit plan, RRSP Match, & hybrid work environment.
