DKI Calgary is currently seeking a Site Supervisor for the Large and Complex loss division. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and triumphs this opportunity is for you!
This position will report directly to the Project Manager, this individual will be responsible for the daily/weekly installation and site issues on various project job sites while ensuring that both the site and the sub-trades are keeping to schedule and forwarding findings or alerting the project manager to any conditions that are not in keeping with the schedule or contract documents.
Responsibilities:
- Has direct supervisory responsibility over all sub-trades on all project job sites under his/her direction.
- Respond to all requests from sub-trades and/or consultants/clients in which assistance is needed in a timely manner.
- Responds to other situations which should cause the notification of supervisory personnel.
- Assures compliance by sub-trades of all applicable city, provincial, and federal governing agencies and company policies, practices, and procedures by observing and interacting with sub-trades in the field.
- Perform audits on sub-trades.
- Forwards site dimensions, pictures, etc. as required
- On an assigned schedule, complete site inspection and report the results of the site inspection to the applicable Project Manager.
- Verify that the sub-trades have the proper tools, supplies, and manpower also monitor the quality of work being performed.
Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years of construction experience in a supervisory role (Site Superintendent)
- Possess and maintain current driver's license and have the ability to drive to work sites.
- Understanding of all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures that apply to General Construction
- Understanding of all local Provincial and Federal regulations that apply to General Construction.
- Good verbal and written interpersonal communication skills coupled with strong technical aptitude with the ability to tackle a task logically, and perseverance to see through all obstacles.
- Ability to work under pressure and be a part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within Southern Alberta or further if required.
