We are seeking a proactive and skilled Water Treatment Technician to join our team. This vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating water treatment systems to ensure the delivery of clean, safe, and compliant water services. Your expertise will help support industrial processes, environmental standards, and safety regulations across various facilities. Duties
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot water treatment equipment and systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on pumps, filters, valves, and other heavy machinery involved in water treatment processes.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and calibration of mechanical components within water treatment facilities.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment such as cranes or forklifts when handling large components or materials.
- Follow strict safety protocols while working with hazardous chemicals and operating heavy equipment in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Document operational data, maintenance activities, and system performance in detailed logs for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues quickly and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on complex machinery or industrial systems.
- Prior experience in the oil & gas industry or similar industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, or other machinery necessary for maintenance activities.
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and system optimization.
- Valid certifications related to industrial safety or equipment operation are a plus but not mandatory.
