Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Plant Health Care Technician to join our team. This role involves providing expert care and maintenance for a variety of plants, trees, and landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, strong technical skills, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. The technician will play a vital role in ensuring the health and aesthetic appeal of our clients’ trees through effective treatment applications and preventive care.

Duties
- Conduct plant health assessments and identify pest or disease issues
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments using appropriate equipment
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, inspections, and client interactions
- Educate clients on plant health best practices and ongoing landscape care
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Qualifications
- Manitoba Pesticide Applicators License
- University of Manitoba Arboriculture Course or equivalent plant knowledge would be an asset.
- Proficiency with hand tools, small engines, and spray equipment.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions and lift moderate loads as needed

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
