About Us
Turf Training Centre is a busy, multi-location sports facility offering turf rentals, room rentals, gym rentals, and office spaces. We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and proactive Facility Attendant to help maintain our facilities and provide an excellent experience for our customers.
About the Role
The Facility Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for athletes, teams, and visitors. Duties include facility cleaning, customer service, equipment setup, opening and closing procedures, and general facility upkeep.
This position is primarily based at TTC4 in Nisku, however, occasional shifts may also be scheduled at TTC1 in Edmonton based on operational needs.
This is a part-time, seasonal, on-site role. This is not a Monday-to-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM position. Most shifts take place during evenings and weekends, and flexibility is required. Availability to work Catholic statutory holidays is also required as business needs change.
We are ideally looking for someone who enjoys sports, is physically active, and is looking for a flexible job while attending university or college.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the facility following TTC procedures
- Complete regular facility walk-throughs to ensure the building remains clean, safe, and organized
- Clean washrooms, lobby areas, change rooms, fields, and other common areas
- Perform hourly washroom checks and restock supplies as needed
- Empty garbage and recycling throughout the facility
- Monitor customers to ensure TTC facility rules are followed
- Provide friendly customer service and assist visitors when needed
- Assist with front desk duties, phone calls, and basic booking support when required
- Complete daily checklists and submit end-of-shift reports
- Assist with seasonal outdoor duties, including lawn maintenance in summer and snow removal around entrances in winter when required

The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, physically active, and enjoys working in a sports environment.
Experience with any of the following is an asset, but not required:
- Customer service
- Sports facilities or recreation centres
- Facility cleaning or janitorial work
- General maintenance
- Google Drive
- Gmail
- WhatsApp
Requirements
- Previous customer service, facility, recreation, maintenance, or similar experience is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and access to reliable transportation required
- Able to reliably travel to TTC4 in Nisku and occasionally TTC1 in Edmonton
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable cleaning washrooms and other shared facility spaces
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable learning new procedures and following checklists
- Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and Catholic statutory holidays
- Interest in sports, fitness, or recreation is considered an asset
Training Provided
Training will be provided for TTC facility procedures, opening and closing protocols, cleaning standards, customer service expectations, safety procedures, equipment setup, and software systems as needed.
