Job Description:
We are currently hiring experienced and safety-focused Flag Persons to support active construction and roadwork projects throughout Edmonton. This is a hands-on, outdoor role that requires strong communication, awareness, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for both crews and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and control traffic safely through construction zones
- Communicate clearly with drivers, pedestrians, and site crews
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control signage and equipment
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust directions as needed
- Ensure compliance with all site safety regulations and procedures
Requirements (Mandatory):
- Valid Traffic Control / Flagging Certification
- Previous flagging or traffic control experience preferred
- Reliable transportation to various job sites within Edmonton
- Ability to work extended hours, including overtime
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and standing for entire shift
Required PPE (Must have your own):
- Steel-toed boots
- High-visibility coveralls or high-visibility long-sleeved 2-piece outfit
- Orange or red hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Stop/Slow paddle
