Retail Store Manager
Swaggy Fit – Surrey, BC
Swaggy Fit is seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Retail Store Manager to lead our Surrey location.
Swaggy Fit is a fashion retail store specializing in bras, lingerie, underwear, pajamas, men's wear, clothing and accessories. We are looking for a manager who is passionate about retail, understands excellent customer service and has the leadership and sales skills necessary to successfully manage the day-to-day operation of the store.
This is a hands-on management position. The successful candidate will be expected to lead by example, work directly with customers, support and motivate employees, maintain strong merchandising standards and actively work toward increasing store sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall day-to-day operation of the store.
- Lead, supervise, train and motivate sales associates.
- Create staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage.
- Set expectations for staff performance and provide ongoing coaching.
- Deliver excellent, friendly and professional customer service.
- Help customers select appropriate products, sizes and styles.
- Support customers with bra and lingerie selections and learn Swaggy Fit's fitting standards.
- Drive sales and work toward daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Monitor store performance and identify opportunities to increase sales.
- Maintain attractive visual merchandising and product displays.
- Ensure merchandise is properly priced, organized and replenished.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and stock management.
- Operate and supervise POS transactions, cash handling, opening and closing procedures.
- Help prevent inventory loss and maintain appropriate store controls.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, returns and exchanges professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming shopping environment.
- Communicate regularly with ownership regarding sales, staffing, inventory and store operations.
Qualifications
- Previous retail management or supervisory experience is required.
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience preferred.
- Fashion, lingerie, intimate apparel or clothing retail experience is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a retail sales team.
- Strong sales and customer-service skills.
- Comfortable working toward sales goals and performance targets.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling and inventory management.
- Strong merchandising and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Dependable, professional and able to take responsibility for store operations.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and assisting customers directly.
- Must be available to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and some holidays as required.
