Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Property Maintenance & Services Assistant in Thunder Bay! Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping tasks including gardening, planting, mowing, trimming, and irrigation system maintenance to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy.
- General handyman work and minor repairs
- Basic carpentry, patching, painting and finishing work
- Minor door, lock, cabinet, shelving and hardware repairs
- Furniture and fixture assembly/installation
- Basic property maintenance and preventative maintenance
- Operate various hand tools and power tools safely for repairs, installations, and general maintenance tasks around the property.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property’s landscape maintenance systems, ensuring irrigation systems are functioning correctly and gardens are well-maintained.
- Support overall property upkeep by performing cleaning, painting, fencing repairs, and other maintenance duties as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards during all activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in handyman work, property maintenance, construction, renovations or a related field is preferred
- Good practical knowledge of common household repairs and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned jobs responsibly
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Comfortable using a smartphone for work orders, photos, communication and time tracking
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to safely perform physical property-maintenance tasks
