Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all makes and models of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will utilize a wide range of tools and technical knowledge to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, brakes, electrical components, and HVAC systems
- Utilize diagnostics tools and equipment to pinpoint areas of concern and implement repair plans.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Follow safety protocols, and keep shop and work area clean and organized
- Maintain records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
Our Ideal Candidate:
- A registered automotive technician certificate is preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in automotive repair; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical and HVAC components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic software
- Experience with welding and fabrication techniques is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Great customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift to 50lbs
- Valid driver’s license
