The Supervisor, Property Administration will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where they will manage office administrative functions in Ottawa.
How You’ll Make a Difference
1.Customer Service
Ensures that a superior level of co-operation, service and support is provided to residents, thereby ensuring that Morguard is a landlord of choice
Maintains good resident-landlord relations
2. Office Administration:
Owns and coordinates all office including office supplies, organizing and maintaining filing systems, document privacy compliance, facility cleanliness and maintenance, site notices and posters, and delivery and package handling and storage.
Provides information to residents and ensures all resident concerns are acted upon in a timely manner
Drafts collection notices
Monitors and accounts for petty cash expenditures
Ensures that terms of lease agreements are met and administers damages/security deposits and charges
Provides Building Managers with lists of leases coming up for renewal
Attends hearings or is involved in hearings including creating files, preparing evidence and gathering back-up materials
Any other administrative duties as they assigned
3.Accounting:
Assists and oversees Payscan processes
Reviews and processes rental applications, lease agreements change status forms to ensure they are complete and accurate and validates commission claims by leasing consultants
Facilitates review of rent rolls and aged accounts receivables as required
Processing of all correspondence as required under the Residential Tenancies Act, local By-Laws, and associated regulations (i.e. N4's, L1's, Releve 4, etc.)
4.Leadership & Management:
Directly manages on-site receptionists and Co-op Students
Provides coaching and support to Property Administrators
Responsible for planning, assigning and coordinating work with Team Members.
Responsible for ensuring that Team members fulfill their responsibilities when providing timely and accurate information as requested
Maintains Team Member relations; and works closely with Managers to optimize team performance
Analyzes and resolves work problems assists Team Members in solving work problems
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate others to achieve work goals
The Expertise You’ll Bring
Degree/diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
At least 5 years of administrative experience, preferable in a busy office
Proven ability to lead a team, as well as work independently
Proven ability to liaise with people at all levels of an organization

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with Yardi would be an asset

Annualized Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
Pay Equity
The salary range listed for this position reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation offered may vary and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, skills, certifications, internal pay equity and business needs.
