Ironwood Place is a 54-unit senior’s assisted living community. This program provides a range of hospitality and care services that promote independence, choice and dignity to the seniors who live there. Beginning this Fall, Rivercity Inclusion will assume responsibility for delivering nursing and care services at Ironwood Place. This is a significant milestone for our organization and reflects Rivercity Inclusion's continued commitment to delivering high-quality services to the people we support.
Under the supervision of the Licensed Practical Nurse, the Care Aide assists the resident in activities of daily living to meet physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs and maintain optimal functioning while promoting residents' autonomy and choice. The role also provides various housekeeping duties, meal planning and preparation, and the promotion of a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Health Aide program, or equivalent
- Current Registration with BC Care Aide registry
- Minimum of one year’s experience as a Care Aide working in community, assisted living, or long term care
- Negative TB test results
- First Aid Certificate
Pay: From $27.53 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 – 34.5 per week
