We are excited to be recruiting for 2 Full-Time Hotel Front Desk Agents at Inn at the Forks.
Candidates must have open availability to work day, evening and weekend shifts.
Inn at the Forks is a sleek and stylish hotel set in The Forks historic site with guest rooms that feature a modern design, and some suites have waterfront views. SMITH is a contemporary restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients, and Riverstone Spa is a full-service spa, both located within the hotel.
Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
· Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location.
· Ensure valid identification is taken from guests at check-in
· Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
· Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
· Answer all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns
· Record guest preferences in the PMS system
· Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges
· Accurately process all guest transactions using established procedures
· Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring.
· Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
· Ensure all credit cards and debit transactions balance
· Gather all necessary end of shift information for all departments
· Ensure all credit cards and debit transactions balance
· Print all required reports for audit, accounting and FOM
· Prepare Arrivals for following day
What you bring to the table:
· At least 2 years of Hotel Front Desk experience in a fast-paced Hotel setting.
· Hotel Night Audit experience is considered an asset
· Positive and hardworking attitude
· Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
· The ability to stay focused in a high volume, fast paced industry and ensure accuracy and procedures are followed.
