Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals progressing through their electrical apprenticeship, with a focus on developing hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed electricians to gain practical knowledge and contribute to various electrical projects within our facilities. Duties
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate wiring and system setup.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, stripping, and connecting electrical components.
- Work with low voltage systems as well as high voltage equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to identify electrical issues and support corrective actions.
- The installation of conduit, wiring, switches, outlets, and other electrical fixtures.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain organized work areas and document work performed for project records.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or completing the third year of an electrical apprenticeship program.
- Prior experience or familiarity with commercial electrician work is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprint reading, and construction processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment.
- Understanding of low voltage systems and general electrical safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a construction or industrial setting.
- Commitment to safety practices and continuous learning in the electrical trade.
Pay: From $29.26 per hour
