Global Beverage & Logistics Centre is a beverage production company based in Mississauga, Ontario. We are seeking a qualified, reliable Industrial Mechanic to join our maintenance team and support the continuous operation of our beverage production and bottling lines.
Job Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assemble mechanical equipment
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
- Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Installing machinery and equipment
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Job Requirements:
- College diploma/certificate in mechanics, engineering, or a related discipline from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.
- Three-to-four-year apprenticeship program is considered a strong asset.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience within a food or beverage manufacturing facility is considered a strong asset.
- Good oral and written English communication skills are required.
Work Conditions:
- Physically Demanding.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel.
- Physical capability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Ability to work around industrial production equipment safely
