Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Technician role based in Concord, ON. The Quality Assurance Technician will monitor and verify product quality at various stages of production, including ingredient receipt, mixing, baking, packaging, and storage. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, performing quality tests, calibrating measurement and testing equipment, and documenting results in accordance with SQF, Kosher, and internal standards. The role involves investigating nonconformance's, supporting root-cause analysis, and collaborating with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. The technician will also help maintain quality management systems, participate in internal audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of food safety and quality processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to monitor production processes and finished goods.
- Analytical Skills and Quality Management capabilities to interpret data, manage documentation, and support continuous improvement.
- Experience with Calibration of instruments and testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., SQF, HACCP) and regulatory requirements in a food manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail, organized record-keeping, and ability to follow standardized procedures and work instructions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, maintenance, and management teams.
- Previous experience in a bakery, food processing, or manufacturing facility is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in food science, quality assurance, microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
Wage: $19.00-$21.00
Shift: Midnight 11pm to 7am
