Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our growing electrical team.
Working alongside experienced Journeyperson Electricians, you'll gain hands-on experience in residential and light commercial electrical work while supporting our HVAC, generator, and electrical projects throughout Greater Victoria and the Southern Gulf Islands.
Every day brings something different—from service work and renovations to new installations, electrical upgrades, EV chargers, standby generators, and heat pump electrical installations.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with residential and light commercial electrical installations.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems under the supervision of a Journeyperson Electrician.
- Support electrical installations for heat pumps, standby generators, EV chargers, service upgrades, and renovations.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and installation plans.
- Ensure all work complies with the current Canadian Electrical Code and company safety standards.
- Complete digital work orders, service reports, and documentation using company software.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with office staff and other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- Continue progressing through your SkilledTradesBC apprenticeship while learning from experienced electricians.
Qualifications:
- Registered Electrical Apprentice with SkilledTradesBC (1st through 4th Year).
- Residential electrical experience is considered an asset.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable using iPads and mobile software.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, organized, and safety focused.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders, in crawl spaces, and outdoors.
